Craft Room Challenge Progress Report - Table, Chair and File Cabinet Makeovers

 Greetings Cottage Friends,

It's time for a progress report on my craft room. If you missed my introduction to my own personal craft room challenge and the "before" video, you can find that post here.

And here's the video showing my progress to date:

I hope you enjoy my video progress report.

  1. Nancy you amaze me, I could never make a video by myself and you did so well. I'm looking forward to seeing your finished room. Love what you have done with the table and chair . . . oh yes, the chair! It is gorgeous!!!
I'm working on sprucing up my front porch and hoping to have it finished by Easter. I did get the front door painted today and cover a cushion for my wicker loveseat. I just haven't had much mojo, but having a project helps gives me something to look forward too.
Sending you a big hug and a prayer for a lovely weekend.

  4. Nancy, what a lot of painting you have done in a short time! All the light
paint really lightens up the room. And the cloth on the chair is so colorful
and since I'm a color blue lover, the paint stripes and the blue in the cloth
looks so Spring like. You certainly have made progress during the end of
winter and into spring. You will really enjoy the serenity of the room when
you are crafting. Enjoy and relax. Lynn and Precious XX

    1. I like blue, too, although for the most part I'm not currently using a lot of it in this home. I think that's why I'm liking this room so much. A blank canvas gives all kinds of opportunities to explore colors.

  5. Well that was a delightful video, Nancy. I thought that the table was going to be hard to top, then I saw the chair with your fabulous distressing, which just made the detail pop. However, the loveliness kept coming. The pieces are all wonderful and I'm sure together they're going to make a delightfully crafty space!

  6. Oh, my goodness! It is ALL so pretty! I just love everything, and you have done an amazing job. I hadn't seen your previous video, so I watched it first. That chair!!! It is my favorite! I love the distressed look, and I think it would be pretty to distress the table legs even more to match the distressing on the chair. I can't wait to see what else you have up your sleeve - you are SO very talented and have such an eye for the details that really pop and make such a difference! I love the linen you are planning to use for the window treatment and hope you are able to incorporate some of the chair seat fabric if you have any left over. I can only imagine what a peaceful retreat this room will be to do crafting in. The colors are very calming and comforting. God bless you!

  8. You're making great progress! The table is so pretty and the chair matches so well. Love the distressing on the chair... and great idea to use the shoe shelves for your supplies. The clear containers are great. I use alot in my craft room and I label them also.. usually just use a sharpie marker and it works great!

  11. Wow... Your craft room picks and make overs are a great start. Wonderful job on those stripes. Beautiful chair fabric also. It all will create a total inspirational space to create , dream and play. You can always add fabric to the bottom part of that table if you end up with tons of craft supplies you want to hide one day. Remember I told you so... lol.
