About Nancy

My passion is God first, and then living the life He has given me in such a way that it blesses others and glorifies Him. He has blessed me beyond anything I deserve. Losing a spouse is messy, and going through a failed second marriage is heartbreaking.  My journey through grief has sometimes felt like a roller coaster ride in a never-ending dark tunnel. However, God has faithfully brought me to a place of peace and contentment.

This blog reflects my love for all things cottage: architecture, gardens, decor, food, hospitality and more. A Joyful Cottage celebrates living simply, being thankful for each day, and basking in the joy that results. Thank you for visiting and allowing me to share a bit about myself. The best thing about blogging is meeting nice people like you. I hope you'll come back often.

  1. Hi Nancy,
It's nice to see you come up in my email again. It's been quite a while! The last I knew you had built a sweet cottage in Colorado? Anyway, great to be friends again. God bless you!

    1. It's wonderful to hear from you, Diane. A lot has happened since that Colorado cottage/cabin. Are you still creating your beautiful and charming vintage pieces? xx

  3. Hi Nancy. My first time on your blog. Very nice. I've been one of your YouTube subscribers for about a year, I think. I love your little house tours and make overs. Thank you for sharing The Word on your platform. It's very encouraging. I'm from Colorado. Grew up in the Johnstown/Milliken area, southwest of Greeley. I live in Alaska now. We've been here 42 years. My husband is from here. Keep blogging and keep videoing. You're doing a good job.
