First Thrift Haul of 2023 and Winter Refresh

I guess January has been a busy month because I'm shocked to realize it's nearly over.

I managed to squeeze in a thrift haul -- my first of 2023 -- and shared it in a video:

I also completed a cozy winter refresh after taking down all the Christmas decor, and made a video home tour.

Just in case you wondered, Spring is only 8 weeks away!

  2. Nancy, thank you once again for inviting me in to see your lovely home. Your videos are so nicely done. Can't wait to see how you decorate with all your lovely "cheap" finds. It's always fun to see. Hope you are warm enough this winter, lol. Finally got too much snow here this week for my taste. Winter took a break the first 3 weeks of Jan. and now it has changed to cold and snow. Lynn and Precious XX

    1. Lynn, please be careful when you go out. I know here there is still a lot of ice on the walkways. xx

  4. Love your cozy cottage. Everything is cottage perfect!!! I too, love thrifting...it is so much more fun than buying new from stores. No joy in that!!!
Agree with your words of wisdom on contentment. If only we knew these things at a younger age. Life is a journey and it surely has its ups and downs.

    1. Oh, my friend, you are so right. Hindsight is always 20/20, isn't it? Yet, it's never too late to put what we have learned into practice, and to share it with others . . .especially those younger than we are. God bless you! xo

I’m in awe of how everything just flows in contentment throughout your home and life. Please never stop your passionate love for the Lord in all you do. You keep my heart smiling every time I open my iPad and see you there.

    1. What a lovely comment, Lynn. Thank you for this. I do love the Lord so much, and I pray that He will give me even more love for Him. There are so many things in this world that compete for our attention. I think we have to constantly be intentional about our faith so that we will stay content and connected to Jesus. Warm hugs.

  7. Lovely post Nancy! I loved both of your videos! Every piece you found is going to bring you joy I'm sure! I'm happy to wait to see what you do with each one! I see in your home, you have plenty of wall space left to display your sweet items found... my house walls are about filled to the brim! Not much room for anything else.. from years of collecting and keeping (for sentimental reasons). Your home is just so serene and cozy and I can see why you feel contentment there, along with the love of your Lord to comfort you and lead the way on your path. Thank you for much for sharing and inspiring! xoxo Marilyn

    1. It's bitterly cold here today, Kris. 5 degree, going up to a whopping high of 11 degrees. Needless to say, I'll be staying home and working on those thrift scores! Hugs.
