Monday Morning Encouragement -- Our Provider

Heartlight.org

"But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."  Matthew 6:33

Something amazing happens when we seek the Lord and follow Him; putting Him first in our lives. The things we thought were so critical to our happiness -- that we worried about keeping or losing -- become less important. And the things we never thought we'd care about -- the simple things in life -- become desirable.

It's a mystery how this occurs, but God just seems to set our priorities straight. We gain so much freedom when we turn our lives over to Him. He never fails to give us what we need. And the longer we walk with Him, trusting Him and learning to be satisfied in Him, the more we see how richly He provides for us.

Thank You, Lord, for always knowing just what we need and providing it.

Today's music video Provider by Cade Thompson speaks to God's faithfulness and exalts Him as our Provider.

Thank you for joining me here. I'm sorry this post is so late today. I've got water heater issues again and other things that distracted me.

I love you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.

  1. It's always good to know that God knows everything we need and provides them, sometimes just in time. Of course I always want more than what I need and then I need to give myself some reminders.
I hope your water heater issues are solved quickly and inexpensively.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

    1. Thank you, Betsy. I really believer God has used my water heater to teach me patience and to give me a first had experience of how blessed we are in America to have the conveniences of hot water when we turn on the tap. I don't recall how much I've shared about my water heater issues on the blog. They have been ongoing. It's been replaced twice, and now it looks like this second heater is defective, too. Fortunately, it's under warranty, so there shouldn't be any cost to replace it. Just praying they have one in stock!

  2. Hello Nancy. It's has been ages since I have been blogging! We've moved from the lakehouse, and I decided to start again. I LOVE this post! God does, indeed, know what we need! He meets us where we are at, every single day. If we would sit down and look at any given situation, we can see His Hand in our lives, and the way He orchestrates every detail for our BEST! Thank you for being bold in your beliefs, and voicing your heart on your blog! Debbie xxoo

    1. It's a verse that I return to again and again, and it has served me well. I'm so glad our Heavenly Father has given us scripture to instruct and encourage us. xx

  4. It's funny - I was thinking of this very thing as I drove home from work yesterday. I had the Christian radio station on and they were giving a news report on the state of marriages and youth in our country and I thought that it was sad that so many people in our country are not leaning on God. I know Christians have issues too, but having God in your life sure helps!

    1. Yes, Ellen, we are blessed to live in a country where hot water is something we daily take for granted. In fact, just having water readily available is a blessing. So glad I know the Prince of Peace! Hugs.
