Monday Morning Encouragement - There Will Be A Day

"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." Revelation 21:4

I know that many of you who read this blog are in need of comfort. You are suffering with physical pain, or perhaps the loss of someone very dear to you -- a spouse, a parent, or a child. Life is full of events that break our hearts, and sometimes we feel completely alone in our pain. However, there is One who is aware of every tear we shed. Psalm 56:8 tells us that our Heavenly Father collects our tears.

I like the way the Living Translation puts it:

"You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book."

These words should give us comfort, for they show that we are dearly loved and certainly not forgotten. Think about it like this: If Jesus would give His very life to save us. And He did! Do we really believe that He is not personally interested in everything that happens to us? That He is indifferent to our pain and sorrow? That's impossible! Scripture is full of evidence that Jesus cares, and He has promised that there will be a day when He will wipe away every tear from our eyes.

I don't know about you, but that is a day I am anxious to experience. I want to see my Savior face to face. I want to kneel before Him and feel His hand gently rest on my head. And if there's a tear in my eye, I want Him to sweetly wipe it away.

Friends, I pray that you can honestly say today that you are ready to meet Jesus. That you have placed your faith and trust in Him for your salvation. Everyone will eventually pass from this earth into eternity. Make sure that you will spend your eternity in Heaven; in the presence of the One who will wipe away your tears.

Today's music video is Hymn of Heaven by Phil Wickham. I love the lyrics, and I think you will too. "Glory to our God, who gave us life beyond the grave. Holy, holy is the Lord!"

I Iove you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.

  1. Amen! I also look forward to that day. I KNOW Heaven is a beautiful place with our loved ones waiting for us to join them. Jesus will be there of course and we'll be able to talk to Him and worship Him. Hallelujah!
    Blessings,
    Betsy

    1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Betsy. It's so good to know that there is more beyond what we see and experience here on earth. I can't imagine living through all that is going on right now without the knowledge that this is not my permanent home. xx

  2. Nancy!
This is such sweet encouragement! How good it is to be reminded of God's loving & tender care for us! My husband & I are both in our 70's and our time on this earth is shorter than it was even yesterday, but how our hearts yearn to be with Christ (which Paul says is "far better"!!) There can be so much JOY in the NOW! God bless you richly, dear :)

  6. I never get tired of hearing about the Lord's great love for us. My hope is in the Good Shepherd and long to see His wonderful face. I've cried so much that I imagine a small pond where my tears are all collected, I do hope the flowers flourish around it's shores and that even good can come from tears.
Praying you have a lovely week, filled with warmth and love in abundance.
