Monday Morning Encouragement - Worthy Is The Lamb

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain
To receive power and riches and wisdom,
And strength and honor and glory and blessing!”
Revelation 5:12

Last week we considered our lives here on earth, and how often we feel like strangers in this culture. Actually, it's a good thing to feel that way, for it shows that we don't belong to this world. Instead, we belong to Jesus, the One who bought us with His shed blood on the cross. This is very strange to unbelievers, but to those of us who have placed our trust in Christ, it is awesome!

The Bible tells us that one day "every creature in heaven and earth and under the earth and in the sea" will sing praises to the Lamb who was slain for our sins. His sacrifice makes Him worthy to receive honor and glory and praise. I don't know about you, but I am thrilled to my core to think about what's coming. That one day all those who follow Jesus will sing with one voice and one heart to the Savior of our souls. We won't be separated by race or nationality, by age or gender. We'll live in perfect harmony as citizens in Christ's kingdom.

I discovered today's video Glory and Honor by Acapella awhile ago. I love it for so many reasons, one of which is that to me it reflects visually, as well as audiby, what I shared above -- praise being sung in perfect harmony, regardless of race. Praise God!

I love you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.

  5. What a wonderful post! Yes, our Mighty God deserves honor and glory and continuous praise. Last week, I was in the hospital. I'm a cancer patient who lives very well the majority of the time, but once in a while, I have some troubles that require medical help. During those hard times, the Lord is so near to me and my family. It's true, "When we are weak, He is strong!" I've been healing at home, basking in His love and His promises. Hearing Acappella sing like the angels really got my day off right! Thanks, always, Nancy, and I hope you're having a wonderful day!

    1. Pam, I'm so sorry you were in the hospital. I'm glad you were able to get the help you needed. I do believe that "during those hard times" we come to know God in a way that we never can when things are going well. And that is a blessing. You are an amazing woman of God, and I appreciate your visits and the testimony you give to the goodness of our God. I'm praying for you. Hugs.
