Monday Morning Encouragement -- Our Steadfast God

"How precious is Your steadfast love, O God! The children of mankind take refuge in the shadow of Your wings." Psalm 36:7

Today's Bible verse is a much-needed reminder that when our world seems to be unraveling, our God is with us.  His love is steadfast, and always will be. Just as baby chicks run to their mother when danger comes, and just as she shelters them with her wings, so God shelters us as we run to Him. His everlasting wings pull us close and assure us that we are loved, and He has not forgotten us.

While it's good to be aware of current events, we as Christians must not let our minds dwell on all the evil that surrounds us. Instead, we must pray for peace, for wisdom for our leaders, safety for our troops, and last by not least for God's perfect will to be accomplished. He is not surprised by anything going on, and He is still on His throne. This is one of those times when our faith may be tested, and if it falters we have a remedy in Christ Jesus. He has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. He has promised us that His grace is sufficient when we are weak. He will sustain us and strengthen us. Remember that God has placed His treasure -- the gospel and God's power -- in earthen vessels, which represent fragile humans. He did this to manifest His power and glory (2 Corinthians 4:7).

This is not the time to shrink back in fear. Instead, let's pray and ask our Heavenly Father to show us how we can share the gospel and give hope to those who have none.

Today's music video Steadfast God is a testimony to God's faithfulness and unfailing love.

I love you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.

  1. I am praying a lot more than normal these days. We have to pray for us to continue to have faith that God knows what he is doing with all of us. Let's hope the faithful will rise above all the evil around us and do the right thing. I hope and pray my grand children can grow up in a less evil and mean world and have a peaceful world to live out their journey in life. Hugs. Kris
