Monday Morning Encouragement -- More Strength

"He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might He increases strength." Isaiah 40:29

I often think we take for granted the inexhaustible power God possesses. He who created this world -- speaking it into existence -- is the One who not only sustains the earth through His mighty power, but at the same time sustains His beloved children. Each one of us is daily receiving from Him what we need to live the life He has set before us.

There may be times when we are in the midst of a trial and we wonder how we will get through it. If we are wise, we will turn to the One who possesses the strength we need to move forward. Out of His great storehouse of strength He lovingly will provide the measure we need at the moment. He doesn't condemn us in our weakness, for it is in our weakness that His strength is made perfect (2 Corinthians 12:9). This may be hard to understand unless we acknowledge that our struggles provide the opportunity for God to be glorified. When we arrive at the other side of a trial and see how God strengthened us to endure it, we then can give Him the credit. Glorifying God -- giving Him credit --  should not be a burden, but rather a delight. For it is in the glorification of God that we find true happiness.

Today's music video He Giveth More Grace, written by Annie J. Flint is an old hymn sung acapella by Michele Phoenix. Her voice is beautiful and so gentle. Enjoy!

I love you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.
