Monday Morning Encouragement - He Lives!

"But God raised Him from the dead, freeing Him from the agony of death, because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him." Acts 2:24

We've just celebrated Easter -- Resurrection Sunday -- and if your church is like mine, the message and the music yesterday was exhilarating. The overwhelming joy of knowing our Savior lives was evident on every face, and in every greeting.

Our pastor began his message with this exclamation:

"He is risen!"

And the congregation responded:

"He is risen, indeed!"

Three times he spoke, "He is risen!" And three times we replied, "He is risen, indeed!"

Our Savior lives! He has conquered death, and this knowledge should thrill Christians to the bone. Not just on Easter Sunday, but on every day of our lives.

Every time we feel discouraged we should remember, "He lives!" He lives to encourage us by the truth of His word.

Every time we feel alone we should recall, "He lives!" He lives to be our everlasting Companion.

Every time we feel overwhelmed, we should say to ourselves, "He lives!" He lives to guide us and help us in our struggles.

There is nothing in our lives that Jesus cannot overcome. He overcame death, the greatest enemy that exists. He lives! And because He lives all who believe in Him, who have placed their trust and hope in Him, will live for all eternity with Him. Death could not hold Him down, and it will not hold us down either.

Remember:  He lives!

Yesterday we sang this song My Victory by David Crowder during our worship service, and it so moved me that I wanted to share it with you.

I love you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.

  1. How can any of us understand the magnitude of His sacrifice for our souls to live.

    1. You're right, Lynn. It's incomprehensible that our perfect, sinless Savior would give His life for sinners. I am not worthy of His love, yet I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that He does love me and that in my sinful state He bled and died for me. What a glorious Redeemer! Hallelujah!

  5. Happy Monday Nancy. Our pastor started both the Sunrise and regular service yesterday in the same way. I loved hearing the answer of the entire congregation saying "He is Risen Indeed!" Amen and Hallelujah! I absolutely love Easter. We are so blessed to have a Savior that took on all of our sins and then raised from the dead. And He did it ALL for us.
He lives. For you and for me. And I'm so very grateful.
    Blessings and love,
    Betsy
