Monday Morning Encouragement - Weary Souls Restored

“He restores my soul.”
Psalm 23:3

There is a beautiful restoration that comes to our weary souls when we cling to Jesus. The same loving arms that stretched out on the cross to save our souls, now stretch out to pull us close. Safe in His arms the clamor and clatter of the world is shut out and we enjoy sweet communion with our Savior.  He whispers our name and reminds us that we belong to Him. When we are weak, He is strong.

Are you weary today? If so, take some time to dwell on the truth that Jesus loves you and wants to "restore your soul." He will never force Himself upon you, yet He is as near as your heartbeat and will immediately answer you when you call.

Today's gentle song Restore My Soul by Vertical Church Band reminds us to surrender to Jesus, the Restorer of our souls. I pray it will be a blessing to you.

I love you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.

    1. Yes, it is, indeed, a "simple truth". Nothing complicated about it. The complication comes from our side when we fail to come to Him for comfort. Just as a little child comes confidently to her daddy for comfort when she is hurt, that's how we are to come to the Lord. I'm so glad His arms are wide! Hugs.

  5. What a beautiful song "...at the cross, I'll find a way." I heard a sermon recently that reminded us that the ground is level at the cross. No one is so low that they cannot approach it, nor so high that they don't need it. Praise our Lord Jesus for what He gave us on the cross. Thank you, Nancy for another encouraging post. Love and blessings to you!!
