Greetings Cottage Friends,
Today I want to share another progress report on my craft room. If you missed my introduction to my personal craft room challenge and the "before" video, you can find that post here, and the last progress report here.
And here's the video showing my progress to date:
Sharing my personal craft room challenge with you keeps me motivated, and I truly appreciate the kind comments you leave.
Hugs,
You are just improving the room little by little. The stencil is pretty and
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing the bird house lamp and the bird on the ceramic boots!
Very pleasant items to help cheer up the room. It looked as though you
have been working on your weaving, maybe? The loom does make for
pretty colorful partition to hide electricals. It reminds me of the old
fashion partitions used to divide a room and to dress behind. Lynn xx
Oh, no, Lynn. I'm afraid I haven't done any work of the rug. I do want to finish it, though, because I need to twine some rugs for the kitchen and laundry area.
DeleteNancy, I love the stencil and stripes - such a great idea. You are really making this special area of your home look fabulous. . . .look forward to seeing more later.

Great progress and so creative! It's a sweet room and will be such a nice place to work or play. I think your loom as a screen to hide the router is perfect. It's great 'art'. Thanks for sharing and will enjoy the next step.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dee. The loom is an easy solution, for sure. :)
DeleteYour craft room inspires me to work on my 'studio'. Right now it has a tray of seedlings in front of the window :)
ReplyDeleteOoh, seedlings are the best decoration. ;)
DeleteBeautiful stencil Nancy, and your bird box lamp is delightful.
ReplyDeleteIt's coming along so nice! Looks about ready to start crafting! Love the table and what you did to it, and love the shelves, and lamp.. and how you used your loom to hide things. I loved all those little wall hanging you used to make (in Oregon) using your loom... I saved it to my "to do" list, but have never done one yet! Love your updates too! Marilyn
ReplyDeleteMarilyn, those wall hangings were so much fun to create. I was thinking of those just the other day and wondering if it's something I might want to do again.
DeleteIt looks awesome Nancy. I like the slight distressing. Your craft room is so cheerful. You will be so organized when your storage containers come in and I love the lamp too. Happy Thursday. xoxo
ReplyDeleteOh, sweet friend! This is just AMAZING!! I absolutely LOVE the way you distressed the table and legs to match the chair and file cabinet, and those stencils are just gorgeous! You are SO talented. I am so impressed with it all, and I can't wait to see the window covering you create. It is such a beautiful, welcoming space. I have a chair in our basement that is similar to this chair. It was set out by the side of the road, and I thought it was so pretty, my husband and son brought it in for me. I would love to make it look like your chair - I have NO clue how to do it, but I am going to try to figure it out. It doesn't have fabric on the seat, so I wouldn't have to worry about that part. It is just solid wood - I think it was a kitchen chair that went with a dinette set. Anyhow, you have given me fresh inspiration to try to figure out how to do it. I love the creaminess of the white you used. You are a blessing to us all!
ReplyDeleteThe room is really coming together. I would never have thought the lamp shade was painted. Hope you do a video on how you did that. I really like the table and chair they look so cottagey. I pray all is well for you.
ReplyDeleteDebbie
Hi Debbie! The lamp shade transformation is super simple. I am looking for another lamp and shade to redo for my bedroom. When I am ready to make it over I'll plan on doing a video. That would be fun. Thanks for suggesting it.
DeleteLooking good Nancy. You will enjoy a nice, cheerful place to create.
ReplyDeleteCarla from Kansas
Thank you, Carla. I'm looking forward to sitting at the table with my sewing machine humming. :)
DeleteI love your table! Not only is it pretty, it looks to be a good size, you can spread about when crafting.
