Monday Morning Encouragement -- Light of the World

Good morning, sweet Cottage Friends,

As you may know, I get up very early in the morning, even on my days off. The first thing I do after dressing and pouring my first cup of coffee is to light candles and quiet my heart before the Lord. This morning the light from one of my candles reminded me of John 8:12 where Jesus declares that He is the "Light of the world". It inspired me to record a short video for you -- to encourage you this morning. In no way is it a professional movie. Heavens, no! It's about a minute long, spontaneous and unrehearsed, as will be obvious if you play it. So please overlook this amateur attempt, and just know that this is sincerely from my heart to yours.

Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” John 8:12

Hugs,

  1. I always look forward to your posts. A ‘ from the heart’ message is so much better than ‘spit and polish’. Very well done! Let God’s word speak His truth. His word brings so much comfort in these troubling times. Whatever happens He is here with us.

  2. A wonderful message to remind me of God being with me. I love the
sun light, and I always see it as looking toward God and heaven. It is
dark and stormy dreary this weekend, so no sunlight, but always God
    light. Lynn
