Still Here

Dear Cottage Friends,

I just wanted to let you know I'm alive and kicking. Some of you have inquired by email about my welfare, and I appreciate that.

Right now I'm in a place where blogging is hard to accomplish. That's all I can say for now. I don't mean to be mysterious, however there are just some things I'm not comfortable sharing on a public forum.

I do think I'll return to regular blogging eventually, although it won't be for a few months and I'm not sure exactly what my blog will look like when I do return. I do know for certain that I miss you all terribly. Terribly. Some of you have been my friends since the days of my first blog Joyful Altitude. That's ten years ago. My how time rushes past us. And please tell me why it seems time passes more quickly as we age. One day is still counted in 24 hours, isn't it? (The words to the song "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce just pierced my thoughts.)

Well, I'm at at the library and my laptop battery is about gone.
I've got to run. Just know that I love you and I'm thinking of you.

May God bless you all and keep you safe til we meet again here at A Joyful Cottage.

Hugs,

Nancy

  3. Hello Nancy! So glad to see you post! I really do hope that all is well with your health and Dennis too. Time is going by too fast and yet I look forward to retiring after three more academic years from teaching, I don't want to rush the aging part of it!

    GOD BLESS YOU!

  5. Just the other day, my thought . . .
    Where is Nancy . . .
I thought of you also when I heard a bit ago that Pier 1 stores were closing.
Sometimes I wonder if I will ever get accustomed to CHANGE.
Hope to hear from you soon “cottage girl” . . .
I remember vividly our “first connections!”

  14. Was good to hear from you Nancy. I too, just the other day, was wondering, where's Nancy and I wonder what she's up to. We've never met but I feel a connection since you love small living, cottages, gardens, etc. and lived in Oregon (where I live now!). I'm an Oregon girl at heart, though have lived in Washington State too. I do look forward to when you can return to blogging.. and I too hope all is well with you and Dennis. Take care... Marilyn

  22. I'm so glad to see you here. I miss you, dear friend. Wish we could sit down and have a long catch-up visit. Hope you are staying well. Looking forward to seeing online again. I haven't blogged for awhile but have decided I have the time now. Why not get back to sharing on my blog? Sending hugs - because I can send online hugs without getting in trouble.

  23. Nancy, I've been missing in action too and must have missed your post during the time that our family lost my mother. And then we all know what happened next and is daily ongoing. Hoping to find inspiration and motivation to blog again I was looking back at old posts at my first blog and saw your comment there and clicked on it wondering if you had something new.

I hope very much that you are well and safe at home and that good things will come to all of us from this time at home. And that when we are both comfortable enough to blog again that we will and that the words will come. Meanwhile, I feel certain that you are daily beautifying your own little corner of the world. I can't imagine anything less than that where you are concerned.
