Still Here

Dear Cottage Friends,

I just wanted to let you know I'm alive and kicking. Some of you have inquired by email about my welfare, and I appreciate that.

Right now I'm in a place where blogging is hard to accomplish. That's all I can say for now. I don't mean to be mysterious, however there are just some things I'm not comfortable sharing on a public forum.

I do think I'll return to regular blogging eventually, although it won't be for a few months and I'm not sure exactly what my blog will look like when I do return. I do know for certain that I miss you all terribly. Terribly. Some of you have been my friends since the days of my first blog Joyful Altitude. That's ten years ago. My how time rushes past us. And please tell me why it seems time passes more quickly as we age. One day is still counted in 24 hours, isn't it? (The words to the song "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce just pierced my thoughts.)

Well, I'm at at the library and my laptop battery is about gone.
I've got to run. Just know that I love you and I'm thinking of you.

May God bless you all and keep you safe til we meet again here at A Joyful Cottage.

  5. Just the other day, my thought . . .

I thought of you also when I heard a bit ago that Pier 1 stores were closing.
Sometimes I wonder if I will ever get accustomed to CHANGE.
Hope to hear from you soon “cottage girl” . . .

  9. I have missed your posts, but I understand. I can't seem to get back to blogging either. You are right, time goes by fast when we get older it seems.

  10. Good to hear from you Nancy. I have been wondering how you were doing. Happy to hear you will be blogging again. I keep meaning to start my own blog back up but life keeps getting in the way. I pray all is well and things work out. Sending hugs and good trhoughts.

  11. I've been missing you too Nancy! Hope springtime brings you happiness and joy - may any troubles be short lived and you will come back here with some fun to read posts very soon.
    Hugs, Mary -

  12. Always thinking of you, Nancy...especially when I read my Hugs book or see your sweet red heart hanging in my office area. Hugs!!

  13. Good to hear from you Nancy, I hope all is well with you. I sometimes get very anxious about how quickly time is passing.

  14. Was good to hear from you Nancy. I too, just the other day, was wondering, where's Nancy and I wonder what she's up to. We've never met but I feel a connection since you love small living, cottages, gardens, etc. and lived in Oregon (where I live now!). I'm an Oregon girl at heart, though have lived in Washington State too. I do look forward to when you can return to blogging.. and I too hope all is well with you and Dennis. Take care... Marilyn

  15. Good to hear from you and I look forward to when you can blog again.

  16. I'm so glad you checked in. I sure do miss your posts! I'm also well aware of "seasons" in life... 🙏😊❤️

  17. Dear, sweet friend! You are sorely missed here. I am so thankful we can keep in touch via email. You are in my thoughts and prayers, and I am sending much love to you today. Please keep in touch.

  18. Hi Nancy, I think of you often. Thank you for checking in.
Take Care and we will catch up soon.

  19. Great to hear from you, dear Nancy. Come back to us soon.

  20. I completely understand .. though I don't know your personal particulars. Continuing in prayer as the Lord leads...…… :)

  21. Glad you are fine. I look forward to the time when you are back 'online'.

  22. I'm so glad to see you here. I miss you, dear friend. Wish we could sit down and have a long catch-up visit. Hope you are staying well. Looking forward to seeing online again. I haven't blogged for awhile but have decided I have the time now. Why not get back to sharing on my blog? Sending hugs - because I can send online hugs without getting in trouble.

  23. Nancy, I've been missing in action too and must have missed your post during the time that our family lost my mother. And then we all know what happened next and is daily ongoing. Hoping to find inspiration and motivation to blog again I was looking back at old posts at my first blog and saw your comment there and clicked on it wondering if you had something new.

I hope very much that you are well and safe at home and that good things will come to all of us from this time at home. And that when we are both comfortable enough to blog again that we will and that the words will come. Meanwhile, I feel certain that you are daily beautifying your own little corner of the world. I can't imagine anything less than that where you are concerned.

  24. You are loved!
    You will be missed!

Your comments bring me joy! Thanks for stopping by.
