Evening Cottage and the Winner of the Artwork Giveaway

Photograph by: Gary Knight. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Cottage_in_St_James's_Park_at_Evening.jpg

I love the light coming from the windows of this cottage. Warm and glowing. Beautiful.

By the way, that's an Egyptian Goose standing on the fence. And another by the way, I love that fence. Not to mention that fantastic gingerbread trim on the cottage. And the pond.

Are those little birdhouses on the rooftops or just cupolas? I'd like to know.

Well, I could go on and on about this delightful cottage, but what I really want to do is reveal the winner of our Artwork Giveaway.

May I have the envelope, please?

And the winner is. . .

Paula!

  1. Hello Nancy!
You have such a sweet blog and I LOVE your header photo. There's just something about cottages that touch my soul...I think they remind me of my English Grandmother and the home she and my Grandpa had up in Manitoba Canada. It had shingle siding in dark brown and soft yellow with lots of windows on the veranda but best of all were her lovely English flower gardens. My Grandpa had a beautiful vegetable garden and he tended that but Nana took care of the flower gardens. People would stop as they were walking by to admire them...and the scent was heavenly as you walked down the sidewalk. Anyway enough of this dreaming ;)...thank you for the wonderful memories and congratulations to the winner of your print! I hope you and your hubby have a wonderful day.

  2. It would be so neat to peek into one of those windows and get a glimpse of the inside of this cottage. The birdhouse (or cupolas) on the roof add an extra charm. Congratulations to Paula! And Nancy, thank you for introducing us to your husband's beautiful paintings!
