Monday Morning Encouragement -- Righteousness Wins

"But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells."

2 Peter 3:13

I remember watching Saturday morning TV shows with my brother; The Long Ranger being one of our favorites. In each episode, there were good guys and bad guys. The good guys -- like the Lone Ranger -- wore white hats, the bad guys wore black. No matter how much the bad guys seemed to be winning, in the end the Lone Ranger had them behind bars. Righteousness always prevailed.

We live in a time when the bad guys seem to be winning, but be strong of heart my friends! In the end evil will lose. Christ will return and set up His kingdom. The old heavens and earth will pass away. A new earth and heavens will be established. Righteousness --integrity, virtue, purity of life, rightness, correctness of thinking feeling, and acting -- will dwell there with Jesus as our King (see Revelation 21:1-3; Zechariah 14:9.) This is the hope to which all those who love God and hate evil cling.

God has promised it. It will happen!

Today's music video Hallelujah, Christ Will Come Again by Shane and Shane affirms musically what Jesus has promised us. He's coming again!

Thank you for your prayers for my nephew Jim and our family. We appreciate them so much.

I love you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.

  1. Thank you so much for those thoughtful words. Wasn't it nice when it was easy to tell who were the good guys and who were the bad guys? Sometimes it's not so easy, although in the current world situation in Israel, I think it's pretty obvious. I pray daily for divine protection for Israel. May the Lord come quickly.
    Blessings and hugs,

  2. It gives me much more peace in daily life to remember that God is in complete control, nothing catches Him off guard, and He is already in the future, so He knows the outcome of everything! Trusting Him is the best way to have peace of mind.

  3. We need the good guys to win more and more and evil to go further away. There just seems to be too much evil in our world. We have to trust God will give us the courage, wisdom and love to get rid of evil. Have a good week. Hugs. Kris
