Monday Morning Encouragement - God's Mercy is New Every Morning

Greetings Cottage Friends,

This morning, with coffee cup in hand, I opened the blinds of my living room window to discover this beautiful sunrise. Immediately the words of Lamentations 3:22-23 came to mind:

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

I'm rejoicing this morning in the knowledge that my God never ceases to extend mercy to me. Never. Believe me when I tell you I desperately need His mercy every day. Mercy to forgive my sins. Mercy to heal the wounds in my spirit and my heart from the past. Mercy to help me face each new day with hope.

Can you relate?

My God cares about every detail of my life and He is quick to show me that He loves me and desires the best for me. I just LOVE that!

I hope you know God this way. I hope you can say these very same things; that they are true in your life, as well.

I've got a beautiful song to share with you this morning. It is Mercies (New Every Morning) by Matt Redman. I'll be singing this in my head the rest of the day! Enjoy.

I love you, I'm thinking of you, and I'm praying for you.

  1. Speaking of mercy (and music) have you heard His Mercy is More?

    1. Yes! And thank you for reminding me of that beautiful song, Rebecca. xx

  2. Thank you for this song, Nancy. I really needed to hear it today! Bless you!

  3. Thank you, Nancy, for this beautiful reminder of His mercies? I love that they never end and are new every day!

  4. I can relate and I have been thinking about this a lot lately. Thank you for your timely post and the pretty music! Hugs!

  5. I can relate and I am filled with wonder and amazement that He choose me and somehow even knowing my every thought and deed, He trusts me to be a vessel for His holy spirit. Doesn't that pretty much blow your mind . . . the spirit of God Himself, creator of the universe loves us that much and trust us with such a precious gift. His love is beyond measure.
I love days when I have a great song stuck in my head . . . it's the best way to stay on track and run our race with purpose.
    God bless you dear friend.
