Have you taken time to see the beauty around you today?
What have you discovered?
Joy List Monday was prompted by Anne of My Giant Strawberry. I love her idea of "taking a few moments to jot down bits of beauty that I've noticed or any little details in my day that are bringing me joy."
That's a gorgeous view! I also love the photograph of your spouse as well. I started to write a few little words on a similar subject today, but since I have not photographed anything, it's not done.
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing pictures, and expressions of a life surrounded with simple beauty! You have inspired me today to do the same. We don't have to wait for the perfect moment to find beauty - we can find it right at home! Love this Nancy!
ReplyDeleteYes we can, and it's been such an inspiring exercise for me to purposely look for beauty in the moment.
DeleteLove the view out the artist's window, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteIt's the best thing about living and working in this apartment. The mountain view is gorgeous.
DeleteYou certainly view the world with an artist's eye, Nancy! Your pictures are lovely...you turned the ordinary into extraordinary! Love that tree...Stay warm! :)
ReplyDeleteGoodness me Nancy, what incredible views from your windows, no wonder your wonderful artist hubby is so inspired!
ReplyDeleteWe're still awaiting at least a little snowfall, just to prove it's winter. The cottage looks so pretty in freshly fallen snow and I love to photograph the birds then. Sometimes later in Jan. or early Feb. we get some - but of course being in the south sometimes there's none at all here in central NC.
Have a wonderful time in your pretty snow - throw me a snowball if you think of it, thanks dear!
Happy, healthy New Year to you both.
Hugs - Mary
Hi Nancy, oh my but Hubby is a good artist. have you posted much of his work. I'd love to see more.
ReplyDeleteLovely views! Beautiful stain glass window and Bible scripture! Yes, I don't let a day go by without noticing God's glorious creation and all the beauty within.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed day!
Gina
How beautiful! Love the view behind your hubby too!

What wonderful views and that tree definitely looks like it's straight out of Narnia.
ReplyDeleteIt rained today most of the day so it was rather grey but I still managed to take Rufie out for an hour and a half, it's just great to get out in the fresh air.
Nice post Nancy . . . I like your views . . .
ReplyDeleteI was at a funeral this morning and one of the first to arrive.
As I sat quietly in the sanctuary I was stunned at the beautiful stained glass above the altar.
My thought was, I wish I could take a picture . . . immediately thinking sometimes our favorite pictures
are the ones that remain in our mind . . . and "taking a picture" isn't always the answer.
As I read your post when I arrived home my mind went immediately to my thoughts of the brilliant blue in the stained glass I had seen this morning.
Sweet Nancy!
ReplyDeleteI am late....I had work and some other duties last night that kept me from the computer, but WOW! What a lovely post to show me more of what is around you and within! Your dear husband, look at him and his astounding art! And you do indeed have a Narnia setting. I love to have TIME for silence, so I can hear God's voice in nature, in my surroundings, in myself. Oh Nancy, I am delighted to know you! Anita
So, so pretty!! I am most taken with the picture of the lamp in the window. It looks like a vintage pencil sketch....just gorgeous! Your post is very inspiring in this dreary time of year!
ReplyDeleteJanuary is such a good month, especially on mornings when we wake to -20 degrees, to look for glimpses of joy. And they are everywhere. You caught some wonderful examples.
ReplyDeleteOh what gorgeous pictures. My favorite though has to be that tree. And who knew a lamp in a window could look so stunning and peaceful. Debbie
ReplyDeleteMorning Nancy, What beautiful pictures you've shown! And of course, that SWEET little camper caught my eye....is it yours? Love, Love! The stain glass church windows with verse grabs my heart for the daily word....and your husband is a very talented artist! Nice to start my morning! Blessings~~~Roxie
ReplyDeleteOh Nancy what beauty in these pictures. Ohhhhhhh the view outside the window where your hubby is creating. Gorgeous. Have a great day.

Nancy, every one of your wonderful photographs speaks to me, each in its own way. Your reminder to look for beauty is timely this morning as I face a too-long-neglected pile of filing and tax documents to organize. :-) Thank you for the nudge to slow down and refocus on what's important rather than grumping through the "I don't wanna" tasks ahead. Enjoy your Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteThe snowy landscape is absolutely gorgeous!
