Happy Friday dear friends.
I found the above quote this week and it is now my official Random 5 Friday post header. I think it's so true.
#1 - Inspired.
Something I read this week on another blog deeply touched my soul, and inspired me to post "Flowers for Ruthie". I know God arranged this inspiration. You can find my post here, if you haven't yet read it.

#2 - Photogenic.
While going through a batch of digital photos yesterday, I came across a photo of my husband. I took this last summer. Isn't he cute?
#3 - Yes, please.
Do I really need to explain?

#4 - Late Bloomer
Definition: A late blooming adult is a person who does not discover their talents and abilities until later than normally expected. In certain cases retirement may lead to this discovery. (source wikipedia).
Uh-huh. That's me.
#5 - Bald and Beautiful
We're currently living in what is known in the Pacific Northwest as "Eagle Cap Wilderness." I disovered these beauties on a photo excursion this week, so I guess it's true.
Thanks so much for stopping by and allowing me to share my 5 randoms with you. I hope your weekend is filled with joy.
Blessings,
i am right there with ya my friend - finding my path ... i always look at folks who know what they love & do it with pure delight. i want to be there. i know i will find it. soon. finger crossed. ( :
ReplyDeletewe see bald eagles often. they are just gorgeous birds. my mom was watching some news ... not sure what it was? but apparently they are getting low again - does that mean they will be put back on the endangered list again? i pray not.
you husband is a real cutie. you two be happy & healthy. big big hugs.

Beth, I think you have a great start on finding your path. You're expressing yourself creatively in a public forum, and I think that's huge. I hadn't heart that the eagle population is decreasing. I hope that's not the case. My husband watches a family of eagles - mom, dad and 2 eaglets -- live from a webcam set up in Florida. I don't have the patience to watch for very long, but it is neat and he enjoys it. Have a great weekend. xx
DeleteSuch a grand list of five random facts! Yes, your husband is cute. The flowers are beautiful. And the quote - just perfect.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Dotti. :) Hope your have a wonderful weekend.
DeleteWonderful photos Nancy . . . and yes, hubby is a good liking guy! I thought of you today at Joann Fabrics. I was checking out and saw a class listed on learning how to quilt . . . Instantly, I thought of YOU! As I look up at my comment I see that iPad self corrected 'looking' into 'liking'. Sorry about that. If I go back to correct I am not able to continue writing my comment. So there you have it!
ReplyDeleteAw, it's so nice that you thought of me, Lynne. I love Joann's. It's one of the stores I miss, as there are no chain stores in this area. (sigh). Self correct features can be such a pain, can't they? Thanks for visiting. I hope you're having a really nice weekend. Hugs.
DeleteI very much enjoy your photos. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you, Sharon. Happy weekend!
DeleteHandsome dude your hubby! And the bald eagle sightings must never get old -- they are amazing.
ReplyDeleteYup, eagles are birds I never tire of seeing. Especially love to see them soar. Have a great weekend, Nancy. Thanks for hosting Random 5 Friday. :)
DeleteI love spotting bald eagles - they are so majestic and special! It must have been exciting to see two at a time!
ReplyDeleteIt was exciting to see two eagles together, Jill. I just wish I had a better camera with a good zoom so I could have captured them better. Ah, well. It was still fun. Thanks for visiting. xx
DeleteThat was very interesting and the eagles are magnificent.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Magali. I'm glad you enjoyed the post. Best wishes for a wonderful weekend. xx
DeleteYour post on Ruthie has stuck with me...I spent a long time reading her posts the other night and praying for her family. I hope they can find some comfort in reading her blogs in the future, they are her gift left behind.
ReplyDeleteOn a lighter subject...my husband and I used to hike in a bird sanctuary. I remember the first time I saw a bald eagle~ I got a close up. I was truly awestruck, they are huge, strong, majestic creatures. It's easy to see why they were chosen as a symbol of our country.
Thanks, Kim. I was surprised to learn a bald eagle can live as long as 30 years in the wild. They're pretty amazing creatures. I think it's pretty great that you were able to get a close up of a bald eagle the first time you saw one. Must have been thrilling.
DeleteWe're seeing lots of eagles up here too - this is really their time of year. Sometimes one will sit in the tree right outside the house, and we gaze in awe until it lifts off.
ReplyDeleteNow that's very cool. Having them in a tree right outside your house. . .wow!
