I remember when my Grandma and my Mom's best friend both passed away suddenly on the same day. I didn't think my Mom would ever be the same but years later she shared with me the verse that se said got her through the toughest moments. <br />"I will lift up my eyes to the hills, where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of Heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip, He who watches over you will not slumber." I love it all, but here are verses 13 & 14, "I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." Speaking Scriptures like this out loud wields SO much power! It is a mighty weapon against satan and his vile lies. May God bless you in a special way in this new year, sweet friend.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01891257905649460436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6915998197494794177.post-17121401304160665562023-01-02T16:08:37.349-08:002023-01-02T16:08:37.349-08:00I'm sorry for the loss your friend went throug...I'm sorry for the loss your friend went through.<br />You shared so many good verses. The passing of my Gram was similar, we grieved her loss on her earth, but rejoiced at her presence now with the Lord. A particular comforting passage of scripture to me the last few days has been Isaiah 51, and especially verse 11, although the entire chapter is beautiful. It shares that no matter how evil seems to succeed now, there is coming a day when Jesus will reign. Vs 11: Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away. " This is our great hope! Someday... we will sorrow no more. Our sorrow will be turned into everlasting joy. This is the great hope that we as Christians possess! Many blessings and Happy New Year wishes to you dear friend!
