It was my prayer of surrender to Jesus in 1988 -- on a plane flying home to California from visiting my hospitalized mother in Illinois. xxA Joyful Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08604235087317891071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6915998197494794177.post-37556054083084373992022-01-15T16:37:48.364-08:002022-01-15T16:37:48.364-08:00Love the beach analogy, Betsy. xoLove the beach analogy, Betsy. xoA Joyful Cottagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08604235087317891071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6915998197494794177.post-30670916195264921622022-01-13T02:12:31.706-08:002022-01-13T02:12:31.706-08:00You are correct. It just is such a wonderful picture of grace to me! Now, I do love the winter with the snow and cold, but I understand it is tough to deal with too. We've had a wild winter here so far, it has been good to get all the moisture though. Blessings to you Nancy, and wishes for a wonderful New Year! It is so pure and white. But...I don't like the cold and wind that usually accompanies it. And since I fractured my back snowblowing a few years ago, I dislike it even more.
It does remind me of the pure unstained lives we have through the blood of Jesus. My husband talked during church yesterday of something similar. How when we would go to the Oregon coast on vacations, our children would "mess up" the sandy beach by writing their names or building castles, etc. The beautiful beach was now almost ugly and stained with "sins." Then the tide would come in and wash it all away, leaving perfectly smooth sand once more. Just as Jesus's blood does in our lives.
Thank you for the reminder today.
Blessings,
BetsyBetsyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00807691752817225336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6915998197494794177.post-34139242894052068012022-01-10T10:57:54.028-08:002022-01-10T10:57:54.028-08:00"then wipe it on their doorposts as a sign to..."then wipe it on their doorposts as a sign to Him to pass over their homes"

Did you know when this is done it makes a cross?

Sandihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08702620069148109246noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6915998197494794177.post-55596805607194190272022-01-10T10:40:12.293-08:002022-01-10T10:40:12.293-08:00Washing clean must be the theme of the week, Nancy...Washing clean must be the theme of the week, Nancy.
